Strive Smart Circuits™ utilises their Smart Strength technology to provide a total-body workout in 30 minutes or less by completing the 13-piece circuit made up of the following equipment: Chest Press, Leg Press, Diverging Lat Pulldown, Shoulder Press, Seated Leg Curl, Leg Extension, Arm Extension, Arm Curl, Low Back Extension, Abdominal Crunch, Diverging Seated Row, Outer Thigh and Inner Thigh.

Strength Training

Our dedicated bodybuilding facilities are a key feature in all our clubs. This has been specifically designed to offer members an unparalleled strength facility in Perth to maximise strength and muscular gains.

Our free weights section is fully loaded with a complement of dumbbells, a Smith Machine and other bodybuilding equipment to help maximise your workouts. We are also the only facility on the continent to install the full range of Strive Pin and Plate Loaded Equipment which utilises their revolutionary Smart Strength system to allow you to work previously neglected parts of the muscle and maximise your gains.

Functional Training

We consider our functional zones to be one of the most important aspects of our gyms, containing premium world-class equipment to help you achieve your fitness goals. With the aid of our Throwdown Rig, sled tracks, battle ropes, Olympic lifting platforms and suspension training facilities you’ll soon see the results of your training. If you need that extra bit of motivation to push yourself to the limit, we have several classes that incorporate this equipment.

TFW 8 Week Challenge

The Training for Warriors system began as a fitness program created for some of the best combat athletes in the world 20 years ago. Today, the training methods of the TFW system can benefit anyone looking to lose fat, build muscle and feel good. Whatever your current fitness level, TFW can help you. Even though TFW once increased the performance and self-esteem of the world’s top athletes, anyone can benefit from the TFW system. At TFW we believe you are a warrior too. TFW defines a warrior as anyone prepared to work hard, develop oneself and take on his or her particular challenges in life. The fun and exciting workouts of the TFW system are designed to help you develop the muscular strength and mental fortitude needed to take on those challenges and reach your fitness goals.

The TFW 8 week challenge includes a 30-minute evaluation to establish your goals along with a physical assessment that tests your mobility, strength and current overall physical condition, and two 3D body scans valued at $150. The program itself consists of three training sessions a week (45 minutes each) in which you will increase lean muscle mass, decrease body fat and increase your mobility.

Upon signing up for this program, you will receive eight weeks access to a Surge Fitness club, nutritional support, before and after images, fitness workshops, coaching mailing list, a Warrior program tracker and Warrior 20 food guide. The 8 week challenge also includes a TFW t-shirt and wristband!

Group Fitness

With a variety of classes on our Group Fitness Timetables, you are sure to find a class to suit your needs at your Surge Fitness Club. With something for everyone, we cover all aspects of the aerobics spectrum.

We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of Les Mills, Freestyle, Mind & Body, Conditioning and Training for Warriors classes for all levels of fitness. Our experienced instructors are passionate when it comes to helping people reach their fitness goals.

Les Mills Programs are ‘pre-choreographed’ classes that mix great moves with exhilarating music. Surge currently features the following programs: BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyCombat, BodyBalance, Sh'bam and RPM.

Freestyle classes involve the individual instructor bringing their own music magic and moves to the Group Fitness studio, creating variety and diversity in every class.

Indoor Cycle Studio

Our dedicated indoor cycling studios feature the revolutionary Matrix Tomahawk Spin Bike - with a smoother whisper-quiet ride, built-in polar heart rate monitor and resistance technology that more accurately simulates conditions found whilst using traditional road bikes.

Our fun classes are highly motivational and involve a single instructor who leads participants through a routine designed to simulate riding a bike outdoors including hill climbs, descents, sprints and interval training whilst increasing cardio fitness and lowering body fat.

Our RPM classes run daily and are designed to improve your fitness levels and burn body fat a typical 45 minute session can burn up to 800 calories! RPM is known as the Rock Concert on Wheels due to the loud high tempo music that accompanies each class to really get you motivated and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Our Cycle Six Pack class is a 30/30 class with a difference. Starting in the cycle studio you will burn unwanted fat during the first 30 minutes then switch to work on your abs and sculpt your stomach to expose the six pack within. Perfect if you want an express cycle experience with a focused abdominal workout.

Personal Training

Looking for results? Having a Personal Trainer guide, motivate and instruct you on the best way to exercise is proven to be more effective than working out alone 90% of people who see results at the gym have had a Personal Trainer.

All of our trainers are fully qualified with certificate III and IV, Senior First Aid and carry complete public indemnity insurance. Additionally, individual trainers carry specific qualifications ranging from strength training through to sports rehabilitation and even University Degrees in Sports Science and Occupational Therapy. Ladies Only

Exclusively designed to remove the isolation and intimidation some women feel when working out in mixed gender clubs our dedicated ladies only facility is accessed directly from our female changing room area and has been carefully designed to cater specifically for our female members at no extra cost.

Personal Training staff and Surge Trainers are on hand to provide supervision, support and above all motivation to help you achieve the results you want fast. Our team pride themselves on getting to know members personally and offer all the assistance they can to help you be where you want to be. In addition - our continuous staff improvement program ensures that our team is fully trained on the latest methods to help you achieve your goals.

Inside, not only will you find the best fitness equipment on the market we ensured that the equipment we chose is best suited to the contours of a lady making for a more comfortable workout. Our Treadmills, Cross Trainers and Fitness Bikes are all fitted with Cardio Theatre individual TV screens mounted directly on the equipment for your enjoyment and entertainment after all, exercise shouldn't be boring.

The Clubhouse

Surge Fitness offers a child minding service for all its members whilst they are using the clubs facilities.

We aim to provide a safe, fun environment in which all children of members are welcome with designated age-specific areas to ensure the safety of all children. Our extended opening hours include evenings and Saturdays to provide the greatest flexibility for the widest range of families.

Our staff provide a number of creative activities to keep children entertained, as well as a Sony PlayStation entertainment console and a wide selection of children's movies.

Bookings & Fairness Policy

We cater for up to 50 children at any one time, so to ensure places are allocated fairly, bookings can only be made one week in advance and any cancellations must be notified by phone at least 24 hours in advance or before 8 am on the day of your booking - failure to do so will result in a $3 cancellation fee.

In order to provide this service for as many members as possible children can be left in the Clubhouse for a maximum of 1.5 hours per visit with a 2-hour stay available for just an additional $2. Members can ONLY bring their own children and must remain on the Surge premises at all times. Violation of this rule will result in the termination of your membership.

What to Bring/Not to Bring

While we aim to provide most things for your child we ask that you bring along nappies and wipes or pull-up training pants if required, along with a drink in a plastic cup or bottle with a lid. *Please note if your child needs any assistance with the above additional items it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure this is carried out and our friendly staff will call you to assist in changing or feeding your child.

Please remember to label all belongings.

Please refrain from bringing any food, toys or glass bottles/containers to the Clubhouse.

Please also note that sick children are not permitted at any time.


On your child's first visit, parents must complete a child information form for each child so that we can cater for all individual needs. You must present your membership card on arriving into the crèche and sign in your child.

On leaving you must sign out your child - please note we will NOT allow a different person to pick up a child after their stay.


All of our staff are first aid qualified and have a Working With Children Police Clearance.

Our crèche service is not a licensed child care service. As such, we are not subject to the licensing requirements of the Children and Community Services Act 2004. You, as the parent, maintain responsibility for your child at all times.

Free Kids Classes

Surge Fitness prides itself on providing community-based programs to ensure healthy lifestyle habits are created from an early age.

We believe exercise should be fun and engaging whilst also providing education on the importance of exercise to improve and maintain healthy weight ranges.

At Surge Fitness we provide complimentary structured programs for kids aged 4 to 13, with different time slots throughout the week.
